Every year, around this time, I find myself sitting down after the last session and just feeling overwhelmed in the best possible way. This was the fifth year of my Pay-What-You-Can Christmas With Santa Sessions, and somehow they just keep getting more meaningful.
What started as a simple idea — a way to make magical Christmas photos accessible to every family, no matter their budget — has turned into one of my favorite traditions of the entire year. And the fact that so many of you come back year after year? It honestly blows my mind.
I see your babies growing taller.
I see new siblings joining the crew.
I see families who started with me when their kids were tiny now helping their little ones meet Santa for the first time.
You make the time to come back, to wait, to support this little tradition of mine — and that is something I never take lightly.
These sessions aren’t fancy or over-the-top. They’re meant to be simple, warm, and full of heart. Just your family, your excitement, and a Santa who genuinely loves sharing a bit of Christmas magic with every child who walks in the door.
And every year, without fail, I get emotional thinking about how many of you choose me to be part of your holiday memories. Out of all the photographers, all the events, all the places you could go — you make space for this tradition, and that is the biggest gift I could ever ask for.
